Keep Charging Ahead, and Don't take No for an Answer

Two weeks ago, an inspiration was seeded inside me in one of my morning meditation rituals. The inspiration was daunting but not impossible. Very few people have been able to do it. This inspiration was a full body ‘Yes, yes, yes and yes’ for me inspite of the odds that might come in the way reaching there.

One of my gifts as a Manifesting Generator in Human Design is my speed when I have a full body ‘yes’ to something. I am relentless until I get to that thing. Of course, I am learning to understand the wisdom of pause with my speed now.

So as soon as it was a ‘yes’ for me I started my quest. I reached out to people who could help me with fulfilling this inspiration. My MBA alumnus came to help and gave me assurance with almost faith and trust that this will be done. I created an impressive resume and impactful email to pitch in for this inspiration to a very important person. I felt so confident in my bones.

The D day was here and I received a call from my friend saying he could not get the email id of the person to whom I wanted to pitch my idea. He was feeling very demotivated and sorry for me for not being able to do this.

Instead of feeling dejected, in my head, there were these words which were ringing like an anthem, “Keep charging ahead, don’t take no for an answer”. I told my friend, “You know what? I will keep pursuing this inspiration till I reach this person and showcase my idea to him. If not through this door then by some other door”.

I can feel that surge of energy as I am writing this newsletter right now. In each of my cell. Vibrant, confident and at ease. I know it has come with practice. Today’s newsletter is dedicated to all of you who have a dream and have given up on it or feeling defeated. As women we often step back at the first door closed or the first ‘no’ that comes our way. A feeling of rejection comes in and dampens our enthusiasm and our will power. Rejection is one of the gender inhibitors which keeps us from trying new things and exploring our options.

How to keep charging, and not take no for an answer?

Connecting with your ‘Why’
I am so connected with my ‘why’ that each project, step or action I take in my business lights the entire phoenix inside me. Why in the first place did you have that dream? What were you looking at achieving with this dream? Why is this dream so important to you?
Connect with your ‘why’.

Understand the nuances of Rejection
Feeling rejected is the opposite of feeling accepted. But being rejected (and we all will be at times) doesn't mean someone isn't liked, valued, or important. It just means that one time, in one situation, with one person, things didn't work out.

Rejection is not the end of a road, rather the start of another road if you sit and analyse what worked and what did not work this time round. Then buckle up and try again.

Pause when Required
This is an important step. I have learnt this lesson the hard way with speed as my gift. Often times, we need to pause. Analyse our journey till date. See what is working. Where are we getting distracted. Are we not seeing the entire picture? Is there someone who can help instead of me taking the entire responsibility on myself? What needs to be released? What mindsets need to be cultivated?

Pause often to take a call of your journey and make better decisions towards your dream.

Stay on Track
A simple method I use to stay on track with my dream is asking this question to myself when a new opportunity is presented my way - “Is this opportunity taking me closer to my dream or away from my dream?”

This helps me stay on track and not get blinded by shiny things sydrome. In my lane woman, in my lane.

Know when to Let Go
The only reason you should give up on your dream.

There will be moments when you doubt yourself. There will be times when it feels much harder than you imagined and you will wonder if it’s time to give up on your dream. In those moments, if you can honestly say that the passion and purpose you felt when you started is gone for good, then it might be time to let this dream go.

But if you still have a spark in your soul and hope in your heart, then dust yourself off and just keep going.

I care for your dream. I would be the happiest when you reach your dream. I feel it in my bones that you can.

So my friend, “Keep charging ahead, and don’t take a no for an answer!

I am holding that space for you and your dream where you know whatever step you take you have someone to rely on who says, “I am here to help you navigate your dream at every step with my expertise.
