One of my clients is pitching to be on Raj Shamani's podcast, and here is everything you need to know about his journey

He (yes, I worked with men too) walked into the mentoring room, nervous and lost.

I could pick it up even before he joined the zoom call.

We started the breathing exercise, and I led him into a deep meditation igniting his 5 senses. And I will tell you ‘why’ in a while. Before that let me take you on the journey I took him.

We started with the eyes, what visuals warm your heart? Lights your world? Soak into it.

Then ears, which are your favourite sounds to listen to. Those sounds which awaken every cell in your body.

Tongue. The foods that make you salivate. How you feel when you have that first bite?

Nose. The fragrances. The ones which rejuvenate you. The aromas. The coffee.

And the touch. When you hold hands with your loved ones. The breeze, how does it feel on your skin. The kisses. The hugs.

And as you are on this journey, know that every freaking human being on this planet is one with you in this experience.

You are one with every and any human being in this moment of ignited senses. Feel into that oneness.

The chemicals that are created in your body are the same.
The objects may be different, but sensations are the same.
The brain pathways activated are the same.

Same. Same. Same.
Equal. Equal. Equal.

So I did this meditation with my client Bishal because:
1) I wanted to remind him of his magic.
2) Make him realize this magic is created by Raj Shamani too.
3) In this magic, both of them are equal was the belief I wanted to cultivate.

And on that high note we began our call.

60% of his fears, inferiority complexes, feeling of ‘Who am I to be on his podcast?’ were dissolved by now.

Can I tell you a little secret? The secret behind creating phenomenal pitches which most people cannot say ‘no’ to?

Well, it is not your grammar. The use of your words. Your accolades. Your certifications. How much money you have. None of it.

It is simple. How you connect with that person at the human being level is what matters. THAT’S IT. How does that person make you feel, what you love about him/her, how connected you feel with him/her is the essence and foundation of the world’s bestest pitch.

And we brought that connection between Bishal and Raj. Where at the cellular level Bishal could feel this connection with Raj.

Now that this was established, we moved to the next part. Research.

Who have been the guests on his show?
What have they spoken about?
What is that one topic which has not been covered on his show and Bishal is an expert in?

As Bishal’s confidence was soaring, this was becoming easier and easier.

We nailed on the part.

What felt important in this moment was helping Bishal connect with his ‘why’ behind what he does. To ground in more. To feel that strong foundation. And we did that with a visualization.

And tadaa!

The pitch was getting ready in this flow:

• Introduction with what Raj Shamani meant to Bishal. And why he felt so connected with him and his show.

• Introduction to Bishal in 2 lines. Focusing on why he is so passionate about what he does.

• Talking about the topic and how it will enhance Raj’s audience.

• Ending it with power, believing in yourself, asking, “When can we meet to discuss this further?”
  (I like this confidence assuming he is going to say ‘yes’ and being in power and asking for a meeting time)

Well, there you go!

You have everything you need to pitch to anyone now!
Go pitch.
Remembering you are an equal.

Always remember, THE HUMAN CONNECTION is the magic.
