Twenty questions for you to determine how much stress is stored in your amygdala (brain part)
Let’s keep it short and simple this week.
For every ‘yes’ you answer for the questions, you score one point. Zero for ‘no’. And 0.5 for sometimes yes and sometimes no. And I will share the scoring results for you at the end.
Here are ypur questions! Be honest.
Do you often feel overwhelmed by your daily responsibilities?
Do you have trouble falling or staying asleep due to worry?
Do you frequently feel fatigued or low on energy?
Do you experience frequent headaches, muscle tension, or body aches?
Do you find it hard to concentrate or focus on tasks?
Do you feel irritated or frustrated more often than usual?
Do you feel anxious or nervous without a clear reason?
Do you avoid social interactions because they feel exhausting?
Do you feel like you don’t have enough time for yourself?
Do you rely on caffeine, alcohol, or other substances to cope with stress?
Do you experience digestive issues like stomach pain or nausea?
Do you have trouble making decisions, even small ones?
Do you feel like you are not in control of your life?
Do you feel a persistent sense of worry about the future or stuck with past?
Do you struggle to find joy in activities you used to enjoy?
Do you often feel like you are not doing enough, no matter how much you do?
Do you have trouble setting boundaries and saying no to others?
Do you feel pressure to meet high expectations from yourself or others?
Do you experience frequent mood swings or feel emotionally drained?
Do you feel like you need a break but can’t take one?
Now, let’s determine the score.
Scores and what it means:
0-5: You are leading a stress free life and it is highly commendable. Congratulations!
6-10: Sitting down with what is stressing and then asking yourself, “What can help?” would be really wonderful.
11-15: Ask yourself, “What is stressing me out the most right now?”
And work on it to be able to lead a better life.
16-20: You are highly stressed and the first thing to reduce that stress is get up and if you can physically do 20 jumping jacks, go and do it NOW.
Ask yourself,
“Is this how I want to keep going or am I ready for change?”
“What changes do I need to make in order to reduce my stress?”
“Who can help me in this journey of reducing my stress?”
That is my Sunday awareness for you!
Hit reply and share if you feel like.
