We the Women!

The last week has been a buzzing one for me with different IWD sessions at different organizations and communities. If I had to succinctly summarise the essence of it, ‘We the Women!’ poem by me says it all.

Before I move to the poem, I want to remind each one of you that let this celebration and embodiment not be just for a day. Let this be an everyday affair, a life long pursuit of celebrating you and being a woman.

We the women

Burning with fire within,
To light up the world
But let’s not forget
To ignite that fire first for ‘us’

We the women
Keep pulling each other down they say
Let’s be pillars for each other
And show the world how we roll!

We the women
Can be working or a home goddess
Let’s not let anyone
Make us feel less worthy whatsoever

We the women
Come in different sizes and shapes
Let’s embrace each part of our body
And spread the joy of self love


We the women
Juggling multiple roles
But let’s take some time everyday
For only ‘us’

We the women
A powerhouse of Shakti
Let’s make a promise today
To be just ‘we’

We the women!

Speak out what is your truth behind closed doors, and you wish to untangle.

​All woman are so fucking courageous in their soul that they are made to navigate this. I have never met one that isn't.

All women are so fucking unique, yet we can seem to unknowingly block how we feel and experience ourselves- when such depths of how we see, taste and be who we are genuinely is SUBLIME.

Your reply could be your micro step to admitting to yourself that you are ready to change the way you approach these times, your existence because you MATTER. It could acknowledge how your self-development journey is so committed, yet you have never celebrated it.
